In terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993, the Pressure Equipment Regulations require that all LPG installations may only be carried out by a competent person who is registered with the South African Qualification & Certification Committee for Gas (SAQCCGas). How to order and swap your gas cylinders!
It is extremely important that you only buy your gas bottles from authorised vendors or gas suppliers and your gas bottles are only filled or exchanged at an authorised dealer.
You can order and swap your gas cylinders with Sims Gas. We deliver too AND delivery is free! We service the whole of Gauteng and Kwazulu Natal but will also distribute and deliver to outlying areas – though the delivery may take slightly longer.

Because replacing your gas is a recurring event, it’s best to register on the system once so that you don’t have to capture all your details each time you want to order again.
Who are your gas distributors?
LPG Gas Distributors need to be registered with Liquefied Petroleum Gas South Africa (LPGSA). They must also have a valid wholesale licence from the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy if they want to sell petroleum products to consumers for end use.
This licence allows distributors to buy petroleum products in bulk (1 500 litres or more, per transaction of petroleum products) from gas refineries, and to sell it to their network of customer facing retail outlets. The licence must be renewed annually.
